To Approve a Disposal Order

You must be assigned approval rights for disposal orders, in order to approve a disposal order.
Approving the disposal order tells the system that it is OK to destroy all copies of documents from the system, and records marked for disposal are destroyed.

Follow these steps to approve a disposal order.

  1. From the Records tile, select View Records.
  2. Select the Disposal Orders tab. A list of all disposal orders appears.
    Tip: You can filter your results by clicking the filter icon ( ) in any column heading, and entering the filter criteria. For more information, see To Filter Objects.
  3. Select the disposal order that you want to approve, from the list. The Disposal Order page appears.
  4. Click Approve.
The disposal order is approved and all copies are removed form the system.
